Finally!!

John finally was able to get a card reader for my camera! Here are some of the highlights...

Caution! Really long video, but Annika's Spanish class was saying the lord's prayer in Spanish for the end of year program.

Here is another photo of her at swimming lessons on the diving board. I just can't get one of her going off. The camera is not fast enough.

Annika is currently taking swimming lessons at VHS. Mom wanted a picture of Annika on the diving board, but patience is not a strong point of Annika's, so we have a pre and a post diving board picture. I think this may be the first time she didn't want ham it up for the camera. : )

Here are some pictures of Annika's first good swim this summer. Her last attempt reminded me of the Polar Bear Club, who takes their annual dip in icy waters, just to say they did it. Bo was enjoying the fairer waters too.

Annika's cheerleading class wound up the other day. There was a small show of what they learned and an awards ceremony.

Some days are better than others

Have you ever had one of those days where you just didn't feel like cooperating? Annika was not feeling very cooperative at Adelaide's christening, and this photo was one of the results. Aunt Nat decided to let her know that if she didn't want to smile for pictures of her sisters special day, she didn't need to be in any more of them. A shocked Annika walked away from the situation not quite knowing what to think. Thanks Aunt Nat!

Fruhlingsfest!

That's spring festival, for those of you who don't speak German (like me). This was Annika's last session of her German class for the semester at VU. They put on a presentation and received a certificate afterwards.

She's a goalie!

Last Saturday, Annika was able to play goalie for the first time. The weather stunk, but she had a great time.

Annika's friends visit

Annika's friend June and her sister Cassie came to visit the other day. Her friend Williams' sister Charlotte visited too.

Annika's Swim Party

Annika had her party at the YMCS again this year. This is the third year in a row for a Y party. The first one was a swim party, teh second a skating party, and this year, a swim party again.

First Soccer Practice

Annika has joined soccer this year. She has never played before. Aunt Nat had to take her to her first practice since I had a doctor's appt. Here are a couple of videos for you!

I am officially on maternity leave, so I will be posting some rather old pictures, but they will be new to you!!

Easter

For Easter, we got up and went to the 5:00 am service. I affirmed my baptism and am now a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. It was really pretty to have a candle light vigil, but it was very early for us!

Spring Break!

We have had the whole week off for spring break. I will just update you as to our festivities! On Monday we went out for lunch with our cousins, Bo and Sam. THen Bo and Sam came over so Aunt Nat could taste test the new Wagner's with friends. We tried the cloth diapers on Sam, SUCCESS! Then on Tuesday we cleaned around the house, BORING! Wednesday we watched Sam and Bo for a hair salon visit. Then I had my doctor's appt. For info on that, see Addie's blog. Thursday, in the nasty weather, Annika and I trekked to Oak Park to visit Aunt Elin. It was a lot of fun. Annika and I are on opposite floors of the house today. She is watching TV while I supposedly work on my portfolio! During any five minute break this week, Annika was on Webkinz buying up 20,000 Webpoints worth of junk for her animals. John will have to get on the arcade tonight to get her some more! Hope everyone is having an enjoyable break!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the big number 8 for Annika. To celebrate, she has tonsilitis and is home from school!! That was not enough to stop her from a little gift opening this morning.

International Day

Annika had international day at school yesterday. She decided that she wanted to wear an Indian Kurti. We stopped to ask Rajesh and Probi if we could borrow one. Here she is!
